Sweet heirlooms

tiny metal dish with bell lid

Grandma’s artificial sweetener dish

My Grandmother was diabetic. She had this tiny dish with a little bell in the lid to hold artificial sweetener pills. She had another one that looked like a mother hen, with a tiny spoon sticking out that looked like a chick.

Inside the lid is a little bell.

Here is another sweet heirloom I received from my great aunt. She left me an entire dish set in this pattern, which my great-great grandmother purchased with her “egg money.” I am only missing the tea pot (I have the lid) and I believe one tea cup.
