Every week, I share an excerpt from my Great Aunt’s book, As the Story is Told: A History of Morpeth and Community, which was printed in 1986. This week is a special class photo for me – I was surprised when I first noticed that my Grandmother, Monica Colby, age 7, is in the centre of this photo. She was the exact age that my daughter is now. I was immediately drawn back, imagining what it was like for her to go to school. She has a few brothers in the photo.
